What to do; where to go; what to see?

Sight Seeing:

We assume that most of you will visit this beautiful part of Spain for the sun and the sea, but of course there is more than that. First of all there is the spectacular coastline with its bays and sandy coves, its quaint fishing villages, its many pine trees and breath taking views. Catalonia is much greener and more forested than the rest of Spain. Catalans have their own language, their own culture and their own cuisine and they are a very friendly people.

Pay a visit to one of the medieval villages in the area, like Peratallada, Pals (the old town), Ullastret, Cruilles, Vulpellac or Begur (most have weekly markets). Make sure you see the HABANERAS (fishermen singing old sailor songs) or to dance the SARDANAS (authentic Catalan folk dancing).

Have a lunch or evening meal by the beach of Calella, Llafranc, Tamariu, Sa Tuna, Sa Riera or Aiguablava. Taste some of the local wine in one of the bodegas or visit one of the vineyards!

Of course you must not forget the cultural sights in Barcelona, like Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and the picasso museum!

Sports (one of the reasons not to just come here for the summer!)

You can choose between 10 beautiful golf courses in the area. E.g. The PGA Golf de Catalunya course, Emporda, Mas Nou, Golf de Pals, Serres de Pals, Torremirona, etc.

Ski-ing:

A few hours away you will find quite a number of ski resorts.

Scuba-diving:

The waters near the Medes islands and the many bays are very suitable for scuba diving.

Furthermore, there are vast possibilities for a.o.horse-riding, fishing, hunting, hiking and biking.
